grades transcript transfer

U.S. Transcripts

  • Have all official transcripts sent directly to the ECC Admissions Office.

    • An official transcript is either mailed directly from your previous school or arrives at ECC in a sealed envelope.

  • Call Admissions at 847-214-7385 to confirm that all transcripts have been received for evaluation.

  • If you’re unsure which degree or certificate you’d like to pursue, schedule an appointment with an academic advisor at 847-214-7390.

  • Once you’ve chosen a program, complete the Request for Evaluation form at elgin.edu/evaluation.

Foreign Transcripts

  • College or university credits earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated by one of the following organizations before ECC can review them for transfer credit:

  • Request that a copy of your evaluation report be sent directly to ECC or mailed to you.

    • If you receive it yourself, bring it to the ECC Records Office. We’ll make a copy and return the original to you.

  • If you’re unsure which program you want to pursue, contact an academic advisor at 847-214-7390.

  • Complete the Request for Evaluation form at elgin.edu/evaluation and indicate the program you plan to pursue.
